We Are Soul Hammer

Soul Hammer is an Artist Collective rooted in the belief that creativity belongs to everyone. Founded by local glass blower, and all-around art enthusiast Tammi Ann Ross, Soul Hammer was built with a simple but powerful vision: to give artists a place to realize their talent and thrive — and to bring that same joy of making to every person who walks through our doors.

Our Mission

We believe art heals, connects, and transforms. Soul Hammer is more than a studio — it's a gathering place for makers, learners, dreamers, and neighbors. Whether you're picking up a blowpipe for the first time or exploring your creative practice, this is a space built for growth, joy, and authentic expression.

We offer classes in glassblowing, pottery, flameworking, painting, and more — for all ages and skill levels. From private group experiences to our beloved Young Artist Club, there's a place here for everyone.

Our Resident Artists

Soul Hammer is home to a community of working artists whose studios and work you can experience firsthand. Each artist brings a distinct voice and medium, together forming the heart of our collective.

• Tammi Ann Ross — Glass blowing, painting, pottery. Founder of Soul Hammer and Ross Haven Gallery Art, dedicated to promoting small and emerging artists.
• Justin Christopher Zander — Wisconsin-based flameworker specializing in functional glass artwork and biological sculpture. Founder of Enlightened Flameworks. "It's a profound contagious joy to teach and make people smile."
• Todd Schabel — Contemporary realist oil painter with a love of plein air landscapes. Award-winning and nationally exhibited, his work is featured in our gallery space. "There is joy in more places than we can imagine."
• Dave Iserman — Hand-built pottery sculptures and watercolor paintings. Each one-of-a-kind piece carries a unique energy and depth through his signature glazing technique.
• Jean McHugh Plout — A versatile artist whose work blends vintage and modern styles, bringing nature, warmth, and whimsy to any interior.
• Steven Plout — Large-scale modern concept architectural paintings that make a bold statement and reveal new details with every viewing.
• Indica Hanson -- Woodworker and painter. A whimsical twist emerges in all of her work.
• Hunter Pemberton -- Flameworker and Fused Glass Artist, creating texture and design using open flame and kiln formed glass.
• Mike Janssen -- Potter and teacher. Using his creative talent to shape the skills of our young artists.
